Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Cisco ACI Engineer responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and support of Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) environments. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Cisco APIC, ACI Fabric, Leaf/Spine architecture, VXLAN, EPGs, Bridge Domains, VRFs, Contracts, L3Out and data-center networking.

Cisco describes VXLAN in ACI as the overlay mechanism used to extend Layer 2 segments over a Layer 3 infrastructure, while ACI contracts control permitted communication between policy groups.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Cisco certification such as CCNP Data Center / CCIE Data Center is an advantage.

Experience

  • 5–10 years of overall networking experience.
  • At least 3+ years of hands-on Cisco ACI experience preferred.
  • Strong experience in enterprise/data-center networking and production troubleshooting.
  • Experience working in large-scale data-center environments is preferred.

What You Will Do

  • Monitor ACI fabric health, faults, events, endpoint learning and interface status.
  • Perform ACI upgrades, maintenance activities, configuration changes and migration activities.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity across physical and virtual environments.
  • Work with virtualization platforms such as VMware vCenter/ESXi and integrate virtual workloads with ACI.
  • Participate in data-center migration, network transformation and ACI implementation projects.
  • Develop implementation plans, MOPs, rollback plans and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with application, security, virtualization and infrastructure teams for end-to-end issue resolution.
  • Automate repetitive ACI configuration and operational activities using Python, REST API or Ansible where applicable.
