Required Technical Skills
DevOps & CI/CD
- Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools.
- Good understanding of CI/CD concepts, build automation, release management, and deployment strategies.
- Experience integrating source control, build, testing, and deployment processes.
Containers & Orchestration
- Hands-on experience with Docker.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts such as Pods, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingress, and namespaces.
- Experience troubleshooting containerized applications.
Required Qualifications and Experience
What You Will Do
- Develop, document, review, and maintain detailed MOPs (Method of Procedures) for deployment, infrastructure changes, maintenance, and operational activities.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and other relevant DevOps platforms.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to automate build, deployment, integration, and testing processes.
- Manage and support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Deploy, configure, and manage applications across cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, configuration, and operational activities.
- Use scripting languages such as Python and Bash to develop automation scripts and reduce manual effort.
- Manage source code and version control using Git.
- Implement and maintain configuration management using tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or equivalent technologies.
- Monitor application and infrastructure health, performance, availability, and capacity.
- Configure and manage monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or equivalent tools.
- Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, deployment, networking, and performance-related issues.
- Participate in production support and on-call rotations, including incident identification, troubleshooting, resolution, and RCA.
- Follow change management, release management, and operational processes for production deployments.
- Implement best practices related to security, reliability, scalability, availability, and performance.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks and continuously improve deployment and operational processes.
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, deployment procedures, and operational guides.
- Stay updated with emerging DevOps, cloud, automation, containerization, and monitoring technologies and recommend improvements where applicable.
Skills and Experience
- Proficient in DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
